Michigan Pest Control Company

Michigan Extermination- Poison Free Pest Exterminators

Exterminator Services in Michigan

Not all Michigan exterminators are the same. We are truly different then most extermination companies in Michigan. Most companies use poisons like rodenticides to solve pest problems like rats and mice. Rodents are not easily controlled with poison techniques. Animals die in walls, underneath insulation, and secondary poisoning is a problem for your pets. Trapping, control, and prevention is the best form of extermination. Are exterminator programs much different than most? We do not try to solve the attic pest problem by simply putting down rodenticides or spraying poisons. Finding entry points and locating potential points of entry into your home and attic is the best method for control. Setting live traps or snap traps in the attic is the best method for locating problem rodents like mice and rats. When the animals are caught they can easily be excluded with no smells. Dying pests and rodents in your wall will cause a horrible smell and maggots, which eventually turn into a fly problem.

Pest control companies or exterminators will tell you rodenticides will cause the mice or roof rats to become thirsty and leave your home for water. This is not true at all. Most mice in the attic or roof rats do not even know they are drying out and dying right away. Usually, the poison takes up to 14 days to completely kick in and kill off the animal. Animals don't choose where to die and often will find sheltered areas like walls or attics to die off in. Poisons will cause these rodents a slow agonizing death. We take a different approach when getting rid of nuisance pests or rodents like rats, squirrels, mice, etc. Below is our extermination program.

Our Exterminators Take on a Different Approach when getting rid of Nuisance Pest

  1. Inspection of the home is done in the attic, along the perimeter of the home, and on the rooftops.
  2. Choosing an extermination method that best fits your problem.
  3. Exclusion Methods- For animals like bats or squirrels an exclusion method could be the best and most efficient way to get rid of them. Bats are protected and can not be trapped or poisoned.
  4. Trapping Methods- Most of our exterminators will use the trapping method in your attic or on your roof to get rid of your problem rodents.
  5. Repairs- fixing all of the entry points and potential entry points is a must once the critters are gone. Leaving the holes open will only allow new pests to reenter the home and attic.
  6. Follow-up Setting traps is only half the battle. Following up to check the traps is a must. For live traps, they will need to be checked daily to see if there are any animals in the traps. The snap trap method which is the most efficient way to solve your attic pest problem will need to be checked weekly or biweekly depending on your service plan.
  7. Clean up Rodent droppings can cause a disease called the Hantavirus. A respiratory disease caused by the droppings.

For any exterminator you hire it is important you understand the services that are being performed. Get knowledge of the poisons like rodenticides the company is using. Ask about secondary poisoning and see if this is something you are willing to take the chance with.

How Much Does Exterminating Cost?

Poison-free pest control for rodent control is the best method for removal. Our company is not your average pest control company. We are wildlife control operators so we do things a bit differently. We charge to trap the critters and keep them out. Most pest control companies will charge a quarterly fee to install bait stations and poison packs in your attic. Bats

Bat Removal Service

Humane Bat Removal

Bats are mammals of the order Chiroptera; with their forelimbs adapted as wings, they are the only mammals naturally capable of true and sustained flight. Bats harbor more viruses than rodents and are capable of spreading disease over a wider geographic area owing to their ability to fly and their migration and roosting patterns. Bat-borne viruses are transmitted via bat bite and transfer via saliva, as well as aerosolization of saliva, feces, or urine. Bats invading human living and working spaces will normally offensively attack by biting and urinating on the victim to mark the victim's location.

The problem is especially worrisome in residential areas, as many of them are airborne and can be transferred to humans just by being around droppings.
